YouClip is an accessory system designed and developed by Dacia to meet the essential but currently unaddressed needs of drivers and passengers. The system lets users fix small, functional accessories to selected spots around the cabin for personalised use.
Introduced on the Manifesto concept car, YouClip was fitted for the first time on Duster with six mounting points as standard and two additional points on the headrests, available as accessories.
YouClip accessories can be moved around the cabin and from one model to another. Spring has 3 mounting points as standard.
Now available for order, Bigster includes five mounting points as standard with two additional points on the headrests, available as accessories.
YouClip is a close fit with Dacia’s philosophy of removing the superfluous and the redundant. The range of accessories can accompany users from one Dacia to another, and soon across the entire range.
YOUCLIP DESIGN COMPETITION
At the 2024 Paris Motor Show, Dacia launched a design competition in collaboration with three renowned design schools to design a new YouClip accessory to be used inside Dacia vehicles. Following an initial selection phase, each school now has at least one project in the competition finals. The winning accessory will be selected by a panel of European journalists in March during the Bigster road tests.
Three schools, 65 projects and four finalists
A total 65 designers submitted projects to Dacia at the end of January. Of the total number, four were selected from the following schools:
ENSAAMA, Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d'Art, a public higher education establishment founded in 1969. Located in the heart of Paris, it specialises in applied arts and crafts.
Rubika, a digital design school specialising in video games, animation and industrial design. It has five campuses: Valenciennes in northern France, Montbéliard in eastern France, Montreal in Canada, Pune in India and Nairobi in Kenya.
Strate, a French school of industrial design and private technical establishment of higher education specialising in industrial design and prototyping, with campuses in Sèvres and Lyon.
"DOG SET" PROJECT

Travelling with your dog has never been easier!
Designed to make life simpler for dog owners on the move, this accessory combines three objects essential to animal well-being and care.
This accessory includes a bowl for food and water, a discreet, detachable and transferrable compartment to keep the waste bags required for clean and responsible dog-walking, and finally a multi-function hook, ideal for a lead or harness.
This space- and time-saving accessory groups all the essentials needed for a dog in one easily accessible place. It can be fitted in the boot or on the passenger headrests using the adapter.
"COMFORT+ SET” PROJECT
Selected project: “Comfort+ Set”, presented by Hadrien Costrejean (ENSAAMA).
Sleeping comfortably in a car as a passenger has always been a challenge. Many people like to use cushions, but they tend to go missing or to be left lying around on the floor, where they get in the way.
The Comfort+ Set is an innovation that revolutionises passenger comfort. The cushion is inflated by the air flowing in through a partly open window, while the car is moving. When passengers have finished their nap, Comfort+ folds up to slots naturally into the rear mounting point or on the headrest adapter, for a practical and ingenious storage solution.
“Legătură” PROJECT
Selected project: “Legătură”, presented by Hector Vanquaethem (Rubika).
Legătură means "link" in Romanian, a reference to Dacia’s origins. This accessory comprises two parts:
- The first part features a robust and technical design, with the purpose of adjusting and securing the straps. With the YouClip attachment system, it is easy to store in the passenger compartment .
- Extending the “link”, Legătură also includes two layers of supple material with securing straps. The top layer is perforated to organise storage and prevent objects being thrown around in the car. Legătură can also be turned inside out, allowing the protective waterproof layer to be used inside the boot or as an outdoor mat.
In just a few seconds, Legătură can be turned into a multifunctional tote bag for a picnic or for collecting branches.
“ROADBIN” PROJECT
Selected project: “RoadBin”, presented by Zoé Dusollier (Strate).
RoadBin is a mini travel bin designed for families on the move and explorers who want to keep the countryside clean.
With YouClip, the bin can be secured inside the cabin for easy travel. Designed for use on the move, it is both compact and functional. RoadBin is equipped with:
- An airtight lid to contain odours
- It also has a built-in removable side compartment for bin liners, allowing quick and easy replacement in all circumstances
- Hooks and carabiners are provided for easy portability, allowing the bin to be attached to a rucksack, bike or tent during outdoor activities.
Whether on the road or in the countryside, RoadBin helps users to keep the environment clean and leave no trace of their presence.
