FIH Upgraded to BB in MSCI ESG Ratings, Recognized for Its Achievements in Sustainability Governance

Press Release: International index rating agency MSCI recently updated the latest 2024 ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Ratings Report. FIH received an upgrade to BB in MSCI ESG ratings, reflecting its continuous improvement in ESG performance.

MSCI ESG ratings measure approximately 8,500 publicly listed companies globally. The rating results are considered as critical reference for investment decisions in global capital markets.

As stated in MSCI's report, FIH outperformed its industry peers in Corporate Governance and Corporate Behavior. FIH recently appointed several new independent directors, many of whom have expertise in risk management and sustainability, effectively enhancing independence and professionalism of the board. With respect to Corporate Behavior, FIH released latest versions of its Code of Conduct and Standards of Responsibility in 2023, continuing to implement high-standard policies. Additionally, FIH has been actively involved in supply chain engagement, collaborating with its suppliers to reduce carbon emissions and increase the use of renewable energy. These efforts aim to build a green supply chain and improve sustainable governance effectiveness.

Since 2017, FIH has published its ESG reports for seven consecutive years, actively fulfilling corporate social responsibility and disclosing information related to sustainability. In recognition of its efforts, FIH has been awarded the EcoVadis 2024 Bronze Medal, and achieved a “Low Risk” rating (11.6) in the Sustainalytics ESG Risk Rating, ranking among the top 4% globally.

In the future, FIH will continue to strengthen its efforts across all aspects of sustainable development, from low-carbon manufacturing and climate risk management to employee well-being enhancement, as well as green supply chain engagement.
